First I would like to thank all our fans that made the effort to come out and support us! You made it a fantastic experience and we look forward to seeing you and the others who missed out, again this season!
To all you players who were a part of a great season, I was proud of your accomplishments and the effort you gave me!
Now we have to focus on selecting a squad that can do it again and go 2 steps further. There will be no settling for being close, I played last season, my friend is getting married !
Ability:
Having all the ability in the world counts for nothing if you are not TOTALLY COMMITTED! This is true in anything you do, what you put in is what you get out! Many people believe that as a coach I am always angry, mad at refs, demand too much of players & refs!
Where I come from they call that a winner! (Don't be threatened by it, you too REFS!)
We need players who are winners, players who care about their performances, players who do not like to lose! & Players like the postman, always deliver!
Preparation is key to our success:Good Diet & Nutrition, fitness/strength/speed/agility, mental focus, personal and team goals, rest, quality technique, skills, tactics, discipline, visualizing & fun!
When players and teams are serious about their preparation, it will usually lead to having more fun!
Good diet & nutrition is often taken for granted! (By amateurs & youths! Not the professionals!)(HMMM)
If you do not have fuel, oil & water in your car, I believe it will perform poorly or not at all! (HMMM)
"Am I prepared to perform at my maximum today?"
Key arears for improvement:
|Finishing (scoring goals)
Basic Defending
Concentration
Mental toughness on the road!
To be National Champions!
Get those fans who boycotted our games to COME OUT! (I forgive you, c'mon) It's a game!
Cheers
Dennis
