With fans overflowing the stands and squeezed onto the track surrounding the Menaul High School soccer field Saturday night, the Albuquerque Asylum got a David Baca goal to advance to the second round of the National Premier Soccer League playoffs.

Baca's boomer from 35 yards out in the 67th minute made that possible. He met a drop pass from Jesse Flores, and with his momentum moving forward ripped a rising shot Fusion goalkeeper Robert Barton didn't come close to stopping.
"When it's the only thing you do well all game, I guess you'll take it," Baca said. "Jesse played the ball back to me. He does that a lot so I knew it was coming. What can I say. It was a perfect set-up and I was in the right place at the right time."
