Welcome to the Albuquerque Asylum FC volunteers page.

The Asylum FC is a locally owned semi-professional soccer team. This means that pretty much all the people who put on the Asylum FC season are volunteers. This page was created to give the great fans of Asylum FC the chance to help to put on an Asylum event. Listed below are the positions available for volunteer and the rewards of each position.

1. Ball Shaggers - (8-12 volunteers needed)Volunteer your soccer team to be the official ball shaggers for an Asylum FC home match. Your team will be right in the action as your players chase the game balls around the stadium. Shaggers will also be responsible to throw balls to the players to keep the match moving. Each ball shagger will receive free admission and $3 of insane cash to spend at the snack bar. Space will be limited so please register early.

2. Asylum FC Locker Room set-up - (4-6 volunteers needed) Volunteer members from your soccer team to decorate the Asylum FC Locker room before the players even show up. Set each Asylum FC uniform and sweatsuit out on each players locker. Also included will be to ice down drinks and refreshments for both teams competing that night. Each volunteer will receive $3 of insane fan cash to spend at the concession stands, Free Admission, an Asylum FC pin and a Free autographed poster of the 2007 Asylum FC.

3. Stadium set-up and clean up - (1 or more volunteers needed) This is the most important volunteer position. Set-up for an Asylum FC match is a lot of work. Jobs will include lining the field , setting up the goals and nets, building tents for concession stands, and helping to set the concession stand. There is also many little odd jobs to be done. Clean up includes breaking down the tent, loading up food from concession stand and cleaning up the locker rooms. Each volunteer will receive 1 Asylum Soccer t-shirt as well as free admission to the match, $5 of insane fan cash to spend at the concession stands and a Free poster of Asylum FC signed by the whole team.

4. MARKETING, SALES, & OPERATIONS INTERNSHIPS
Job Description: The Asylum FC are looking for qualified, energetic individuals interested in gaining valuable experience in the areas of marketing, sales, and operations for the upcoming season.

Responsibilities: Promotion of the team in a variety of community environments / Coordination of Media and Public Relations / Assisting and possibly managing game day operations and promotional activities / Creation of sales/marketing materials and publications / Aiding in day-to-day operations of the club / Assisting with travel arrangements and related organizational matters.

Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills / Self motivated / Good understanding of sports team environment.
